Today Sadie was noticing some veins that were on her hands and she asked what they were called. I told her they were called "veins" and I told her why we have veins. She replied, "oh, brains."
I said no, our brain is in our head and it helps our body to move, helps us to see, and helps us to think. To that she replied, "You can't think very good, huh mommy."
I asked, "Why do you say that?"
"Because you don't have a brain."
I started laughing, but she was very upset that I thought that was funny. I guess she didn't intend it to be a joke... I think she must have come up with that because I had just been asking to help me remember something that had happened earlier last week and she had helped me to remember what it was.
If only there really were a wizard of oz, maybe I could finally get a brain.
