A week with Grandma!

My mom came from Idaho to visit me and my family last week. I think it was the first time I've had my mom around for that long without a sibling too (I am the oldest of 10 kids). We had a good time. The kids loved getting so much attention from Grandma and she was a big help to me too! She even helped me finish some sewing projects I had that I probably would have never finished on my own. She helped me finish the crib bumper pad that I started on.

I had the fabric for it but wasn't sure how to put it together. I'm glad she showed me how and helped me get it done! She and I also fixed the boat cover where it was coming apart as well. I feel kind of guilty that she worked so much while she was here doing laundry, dishes, cooking, and watching the kids while Jason and I went out but she insisted that was what she wanted to do. She did lots of Grandma stuff too like pushing on the swing, reading stories, going on walks, and playing with the kids.

It was her first time meeting Mackenzie! Here's Grandma and 3 of her 5 grandkids:

Thanks for spending some time in California with us Mom!

Wow Amber you have been busy with your blog! I think you've posted more in the last twelve hours than you have in a month:) Sounds like you had lots of fun with your mom. I guess that would be one benefit of having your mom live far away, when she does visit you have her all to yourself:)

Wow! That's really cool that you have 10 kids in your family. I had forgotten that you told me that. Your mom seems really nice and I love the crib bumpers!

Mom's (Grandma's)RULE! I know I am truely blessed to live so close to all the grandparents (except Papa Bear- Chris' Dad).
