Sadie loves to write. She loves letters. She loves words. Only problem is she does not know how to spell yet and she hasn't learned all the rules of the English language. So I find all these notes around the house that are sentences and paragraphs of words with no spaces and wrong spelling. It is really tricky to read. She also loves to put frilly ends on her letters and sometimes gets them backwards. I love it. I love that she is learning to communicate through writing and that she loves to learn. I also think it is kind of fun to figure out the "code" she writes. Its not as fun when its not her writing but can you tell what Sadie is asking for in this letter to Santa?:

get them a puppy for Christmas!! It would be the best ever :)
That is pretty good! Maybe she will be a writer when she grows up:) Good luck with the code!
My guess on the last one is we don't want any boys to come in? I'm not sure on the boys part but everything else i think i got. I love getting notes like these too. You can see where their little minds are working and trying to figure things out.
Good job, Aubrey! You must have experience in reading code? :)
The christmas list was for a real puppy and a magic closet (like the one in "The lion, the witch and the wardrobe")
Sadie's Thanksgiving dinner consists of Mac'n'cheese, potatoes and gravy, pie, (not sure but maybe peanut butter ice cream?), freeky fingers (a snack she learned to make at school), grape juice and apple juice.
Ryli does the exact same thing:
CADIAMSPIDRMAN
(Cade- I am Spiderman.)
RYLIIAMMEREEGAN
(Ryli- I am Mary Jane.)
MOMANDMEEWETTOABOL
(Mom and me went to a ball.)
She leaves notes to me on her magna doodle. I love trying to figure out what they say.
Jenni, why am I not surprised that she was writing about going to the ball? :)
