Disney Trip in February

(notice Braden's goofy picture pose, squinty eye, silly snarl... totally get this from his dad!)

About 1 month before Callie's due date in the end of February, we decided to head back to Disneyland before the spring break crowds and before Callie was born.  Nana and Papa came with us.  I was just getting over a cold, one that I had pretty much had since the beginning of November and Jason's Dad was working on getting over a cold as well.  Jason also developed an ear infection so 3 of us were all on Antibiotics!  It was rainy off and on for day 1 and 3, day 2 was perfect!

One thing I learned was the perfectly smooth concrete at Disneyland gets very slick in the rain.  Not a good thing for a 9 months pregnant woman.  I was in sandals (typical for me!) and sliding everywhere!  We didn't make it a marathon trip trying to get all the rides in, just went to our favorites and took it easy.

Another thing I noticed about going on some of the (pregnancy safe) rides being pregnant was that a lot of times the ride attendant didn't realize I was pregnant and would try to push the bar that holds you inside the ride super tight against my belly.  Then after pushing it into my belly pretty hard they would realize that I was pregnant, but couldn't undo it at that point because the ride was already moving past the loading station.  Not fun for me, and probably not fun for Callie either!

Every time we have been to Disneyland the kids were not interested in posing with characters.  This time Mackenzie ran over to Handy Manny before we even knew where she was going.  She ran and gave him a hug and turned for a picture, but the look on her face when she turned around and realized Sadie and Braden didn't follow along was so funny!  She looked kind of confused and hesitant all of the sudden!

After seeing Mackenzie do it, Braden decided to do the same.  They never even watch Handy Manny...

Love the look on Mackenzie's face in this one...

Sadie lost her 2nd tooth (bottom left front) at the hotel while we were visiting Disneyland.  It was getting so wiggly she was refusing to eat so I told her we couldn't go back to the park until it came out.  Even though it wasn't the 1st tooth, she was very nervous and didn't want me to touch it and wouldn't do it herself either.  I had to bribe her and practically tackle her down to get it done!  Afterward she said it didn't hurt and she was super excited about the prize I bribed her with.  When we got to the park she got  the prize - a pressed coin collection book and we stopped at some of the penny press locations in the park to put in it.  (She had started collecting pressed coins already and I noticed the book in the park the day before, I knew she would love it)

Here we were getting ready to see the 3D Muppet show.  I thought the kids looked so cute in the glasses they gave us to wear in the show.
 Cute girls!
Tough guy with his glasses on his forehead.

We saw the new TRON "show" which was in California Adventure.  They turn a section of the park into a huge street dance with a lazer show and dancers and music.  Braden was pretty into it, Sadie did not like it at all.

At the end of the trip when I was trying to get all the kids asleep, I asked Mackenzie what her favorite part was.  I was surprised at how descriptive of everything she was, and she told me her favorite part was talking to "Crush" the turtle from Nemo (who actually spoke to Braden and I personally this time, so fun!)  The cutest thing though was when she said, "I really like my friends."  I wasn't sure if she was talking about kids from church or what so I started naming off the kids she knows.  She said "No, my friends Sadie and Braden!"  I love that my kids best friends are each other!!

Looks like another fun trip to Disneyland! I have mixed emotions about going. Sometimes it sounds like lots of fun other times it just makes me tired thinking about it! I again can't believe you went being that far along! You must have felt lots better than I did!

So fun! We'll have to save up and plan a trip with you guys sometime. I'm sure the girls would have a great time.
