Visit the tide pools....
Play on the Beach....
Go to the nearby lake to catch crawdads and frogs....
And Party (me Hearty)....
believe it or not the guy on the right is Jason's dad!!!
We also had two new adventures this time.... undocumented by pictures but interesting just the same. A battle with the stomach flu and a Helicopter rescue for some boys stranded on Fish Rock!
The rescue was a big event for the campground (one of the few campgrounds in California located right on the beach) so everyone gathered to see the CHP helicopter lower down its harness to pull up two teenage boys off Fish Rock before high tide swallowed the rock for the night. They had been kayaking near the rock and were washed overboard wearing only their shorts. The tide hitting the rock prevented them from getting back on their kayaks and it was too far for them to swim. They had been stuck out there for a few hours before they called the Coast Guard, but were not harmed (just shook up a bit).

That night after putting the kids to bed (in our cozy 5th wheel :) we went back to the campfire. After noticed that Jason's brother Chris had been missing for a few hours we learned that he had been throwing up in the bathroom the whole time (poor thing ended up throwing up all night in his TENT). We later went to our trailer to find the kids in the pull out sofa bed COVERED in puke. SOOOO GROSS! Sadie had thrown up all over Braden, the pillows, the blankets... the whole bed. I showered the kids (again, loving the trailer) while Jason (this is the amazing part) cleaned up the bed. (With his waterproof gloves and shirt over his nose) My nephew Zack had been sick on Wednesday but we all thought it wasn't contagious. We were wrong. Everyone else got it within the next few days. Braden got it on the way home and lost his breakfast in the truck. So that is how our vacation ended. Sick kids and lots of LAUNDRY!

It is so pretty there. Sorry about the puck, yuck.
So Sorry Amber! I wish I would have know better! We would have avoided being around you guys! I wasnt in too good of a position to help out though. Puking outside of the tent every hour all night kind of puts a damper on things. Blah. Glad that is over!
-"Hep*hep*hooray"- thanks for the compliment! Anchor Bay really is kind of a magical place for the Carters- Great memories...
