Our little man is TWO!

Braden turned two on Friday! He woke up to us all telling him "Happy Birthday!" After that he kept saying, "Happy Bir-day, Braden!" over and over. He was pretty excited about it.

For lunch I took him to Chuck-E Cheese and we met up with the Alvies and the Roberts there. Braden loves pizza and I thought it would be something fun that he doesn't get to do very often. It was Braden's friend Cade's Birthday too so they had their Birthday lunch together. Braden and Cade were born at the same hospital on the same day! The boys didn't eat much before they were ready to ride on the "glorified WalMart rides" they have at Chuck-E-Cheese. Braden's favorite ride - The Monster truck. Surprised?
Sadie takes the wheel and Braden holds on for his life!

Later that evening, (after a good nap) the four of us enjoy a fancy dinner that consisted of Mac'n'Cheese, sloppy joes, and salad. I know what you are thinking - "Man, these guys know how to throw a party!" Whoever's birthday comes up next, its gonna be hard to beat this one, right? So, anyway, next we brought out the B-day cake and Braden was so excited. Can you guess what the first thing he did was? Yep, touch the flame on the candles. Thus the not so excited picture below. :(
After that, he was pretty cautious about the cake so Sadie had to help him with his candles.
Now the famous "Crest toothpaste commercial smile" is back.

This is one of the only times Braden refused to eat his food with anything but his fork. Usually he thinks the fork is just a waste of time, but apparently he wasn't taking any more chances with this cake after the finger burn earlier.

Braden got some "Cars" movie cars to play with and the Grand Central Station of the Geo-Traks train set. They were a big hit! The cars even ended up in bed with Braden. Who needs a cuddly teddy bear when you can hug your cars at night!

That's funny. Cade started requesting to sleep with this little hard plastic Barbie dog at night. Boys are wierd.
